I would never buy this in a million years, and I have every episode going right back to the begining. This series was the worst one ever. I really couldn't care less what the extras are Ncuti was the worst Doctor ever.

Think it’s a shame the set isn’t 9 discs with one disc per episode with the unleashed episodes on the same disc as the story they connect to.

New box set looks impressive and is comparable with DR Who collection. I have ordered standard box set because it looks like Dr Collection sets. I think that the extra content justifies the £ 50 cost. Good to see that BBC are issuing this box set (certainly for UK). What a waste of money and resources. No one wants to buy this disgusting mess of a series that has been universally despised. This show is Doctor Who in name only.

Great season. Glad I've got this on order, even though the price is quite high. Definitely would be interested in a positive Doctor Who space. God knows we need it considering how it's been targeted by grifters for years now.

The real let down is that this boxset is only available in the UK Fuck you Disney

It may be worth the steep price for Disc 5 alone, with what I assume MUST be a Genesis reunion show, live in the console room complete with Peter Gabriel! Right?

Steelbook looks beautiful as always, and of course I'll be buying it (I've had it on pre order since it went up, which i think was before the series had even aired!) Sadly it looks like most of the extras are things already available online which is a shame, but it's far from a deal-breaker for me, especially with such a good set of episodes! Price is a little steep though - thats Collection set level price!

It is mostly stuff from online but it isn't that bad to have it in a more central place. I don't think the offical doctor who youtube channel has a playlist. Ultimately the new series blurays will never have better special features than the classic series. Even though this is stuff mostly available online it is still more than a lot of shows will have. What do people even expect? Retrospective stuff can't exist because this is was made in 2023. The main thing is a physical copy things can just be removed off streaming.

"Another letdown"... I'll buy it, because I buy all of them, but.. It does seem that all the extras here have already been released online, either on UA-cam or on iPlayer. I didn't do a full inventory, so I'm not 100% sure, but... That seems to be the case. Will get much better quality off 1080p blu, though. DO WISH IT WAS IN 4K HOWEVER!

Well at least now they've got this anoucement out the way we can hopefully look forward to the season 25 collection announcement in the coming weeks. Hearing about how you're 5yr olds felt about it, and rtd saying that although viewing fugures are low but its doing great with younger audiences is a sign that really this is the sequel to the sarah jane adventures? Maybe we expect too much of it? Sadly even if that was true SJA shits all over it.

I refused to watch Series 1 (and the Christmas Special) after RTD screwed up the 60th anniversary... so I have zero interest in buying it on Blu ray. But I will continue to buy the classic series season sets.

If I ever do buy this it will be when it hits the bargain bins and then only for completists sake. Worst season of Doctor Who ever. Worst Doctor ever. Absolutely mediocre writing where Turdy Davies turns Doctor Who into his own gay wet dream. And this blubbering gay idiot is not the Doctor.

Why is it not in 4K when the show was filmed in 4K? No idea what Unleashed is but why does the set not include ALL of the Tales of the Tardis episodes? We don't get those in the US.

I had put the preorder in for the steelbook a while ago when I spotted on Amazon UK. Hopefully eventually get this in NA without a massive delay, but otherwise will be more than happy with a region b version ☺️ Honestly thought this was announced a while ago but glad to see so much extra content and glad to see Physical Media still being given some love

Season 14 came out in 1976-77. The box set came out in 2020.

Pre ordered months ago really happy with the steelbook art. Shame the discs all seem to have the same art but just a bit pick. Probably the most jam packed modern who boxset in a while. Amazing season too

Now that's more like it! As much as I adored the Whittaker era, the blu-ray box sets were a bit lacklustre.

Happy this collection is jam packed. I know they are all the extras previously shown on UA-cam and bbci, which is I why I purposely haven't watched any until the boxset comes out. I'll happy pay that amount for the steel book. Compared to how expensive they get 2nd hand 😱 lol. Really loved this season. Was very surprised. My only complaint is the amount of audio commentaries is atrocious. Remember Tennant era getting a commentary on every single episode. My favourite extras are audio commentaries as it's like watching the episode with the dir / act / writer and learning as you go. The classic collections are amazing for this. Modern who needs to catch up. But a decent selection none the less, am excited to watch all the unleashed episodes too.

Bit disappointing. Only HD BDs, when they shot in 4K HDR and the extras are just stuff available on UA-cam and iPlayer.

This set is not for me im more interested in collecting the classic era blu ray the collection sets and the price is way to much.nice clear description of the set thanks.

I found looking at the pyramids of mars with new fx was bits cut out of it

As a fan I hate being negative but this is one of the worst seasons I've ever seen. There's only a couple of episodes I'll ever re-watch, so no way am I going to spend £60 on the steelbook (the regular version is £50. Still overpriced).

This seems like a pretty nice set all things considered. The commentaries are nice but the highlight for me here is including one of the Tales of the Tardis episodes; I’m in the US and we don’t get any of those officially so it’s nice to have a physical copy of at least one. On the other hand, it would have been nice to include the rest of the Tales from the Tardis or do a “Behind the Sofa” equivalent for the new season, and a lot of those features are the short UA-cam videos they’ve been uploading lately. Either way, I doubt we’re getting a US release of this season anytime soon thanks to the DisneyPlus deal (we still don’t have the 60th anniversary specials or Church on Ruby Road) but at this point I’ve invested in a region free player and will take what I can get!

The pricing for the steelbook is a rip off. Previous steelbooks have been between £25 and £35, and this one is £60! I cant see any reason for the price increase, the price is higher than 4K Blu Ray steelbooks for other shows (and this release isnt even 4K!)
